Underworld is opening January 1st 2012 and is a creative community space which is available to hire for all Wellingtonians. We provide a flexible and personable service and want to help creative people thrive.

The venue can be hired out by the hour, morning, afternoon, evening, and whole days or weeks. It can be on a casual basis or weekly rates. You choose, you decide how and when you would like to use the venue. The rates are very reasonable and are flexible depending on the the booking.

We have a piano and sound system to use, a drumkit and amps to hire, storage facilities and nice big space that can be used for numerous things.

Some of the ways in which you could use the space could be as an art gallery, teaching space, rehearsals, performances of all types, community projects, private functions – nearly anything you can think of.

Located immediately next to Bar Medusa on Vivian Street, it is the perfect location for all artistic people and there will be many benefits to those using Bar Medusa as well. Plus, you can pop next door for a drink after a busy day ‘doing your thang’ at Underworld.
